Sayokan KTU (Blacksea Technical University) Seminar

I love teaching and contributing people of all ages in one way or other to make a difference in their lives. For this, I use every opportunity that arise and do it with fun.

While I was visiting my home town, Trabzon/Turkiye, I had some students interested in forming a Sayokan Club at the Black Sea University known as KTU.

To make things faster, I called up my friend who is Dean of KTU Education Faculty, a separate campus with more then 10,000 students,  Prof. Dr. Adnan Baki. He was very accommodating and helpful, offered me the facility of sports academy’s state of the art hall. Moreover, he and his friend Prof. Dr.  Ali Riza Akdeniz wanted to join the training as well.

I scheduled 6 lessons of essential Sayokan training to introduce and give a taste of the system. The exam period effected many students who wanted to join. Over 30 students joined the training and some had to go back to their homes (other cities) for summer holiday after their exams finished.

All age groups were present in the training including kids of lecturers. The two Professors set the example with their attendance accept compulsory meetings.

It was a successful seminar and I am happy to be and spent time with all the participants.
